Reversible Repoussé Sterling Silver Tibetan/Nepalese Turquoise & Coral Amulet 43g. Sterling silver amulet pendant, decorated with a stunning Turquoise centrepiece and two oval coral accents. The pendant is reversible and looks amazing from either side. The origins of the piece are possibly Tibetan, Nepalese or Chinese, based on the imagery and style of the amulet. The absence of stamps or hallmarks makes dating the pendant a little more difficult but it could easily be twenty years plus. The stylised repoussé animals and clouds have been beautifully crafted to each side.

The animals depicted, look like a tiger, rat, rabbit or hare and dog. This is open to interpretation as the animals are not figurative. The clouds are beautiful and there is something very tactile about the amulet.

The pendant is as mentioned reversible, with the turquoise gemstone visible from both sides. The rich red coral is only visible from one side. Turquoise is thought of as living gem, the colours within the stone represent water, air and sky. The stone serves to counteract negativity and protect the wearer from harm. Coral is meant to bring good luck and provide strength to women, in particular.
