Can silver jewelry darken with use? Yes, because all our silver jewelery is handcrafted and therefore not rhodium-plated (industrial technique). But silver jewelry is very easy to clean depending on whether it is rhodium-plated or not. It is generally sufficient to clean them with a soap or a non-aggressive detergent, in order to remove the black stains of oxidation, and then to shine them with a soft cloth.

The more a jewel is worn, the less you will have signs of oxidation. It is not the air that causes the silver to oxidize, it is the particles of various elements which in contact with the oxygen in the air cause these black or coppery spots which appear in certain places such as, for example, on contact of your skin according to its acidity.
